Liquipel Joins Wearable Tech Conference and Expo as Platinum Sponsor

Company to showcase solutions that keep electronics safe from liquids July 24-25 in New York

Norwalk, Conn. – July 25, 2013 – TMC announced today that Liquipel, which has created a solution that keeps electronic devices safe from liquid, has joined Wearable Tech Conference & Expo as a Platinum Sponsor. The event, held July 24-25 at The Kimmel Center at NYU in New York City, features a series of sessions and demonstrations that focus on the present and future of wearable technology companies and products.

"Since announcing our partnership with Pharrell Williams at the 2013 International Consumer Electronics Show in January, we have been collaborating to combine Liquipel's award-winning technology with Pharrell's eye-catching brands," said Jason Winkler, Liquipel's vice president of marketing. "Today's appearance at the Wearable Technology Expo marks the latest milestone of Liquipel’s movement into the wearable technology field. We plan to become the leaders in watersafe™ tech wearables just as we are the leaders in watersafe mobile electronics."

Liquipel’s mission is to protect consumer cell phones, tablet computers and other electronic devices from the economic loss and personal hardship caused by liquid damage. Using its patent-pending nano-coating technology, Liquipel’s process creates a liquid-repellant coating that is microscopic and becomes a part of the device. Liquipel is virtually untraceable and will not affect nor compromise the look, feel and performance of the device.

“In today’s technology-dependent society, our mobile devices have almost become an extension of our physical selves,” said Rich Tehrani, CEO of TMC and Wearable Tech conference chairman. “Liquipel’s innovative technology provides an insurance policy for our most important electronic devices and we’re excited to have them join the Wearable Tech Conference & Expo as a Platinum Sponsor.”

In addition to Liquipel, Wearable Tech is also supported by Platinum Sponsor Plantronics; Gold Sponsors HzO and Intrinsyc; and Silver Sponsor Intelligent Headset.
