Wearable Tech Events Fill NYC with the Latest Gadgets and Market Insight


Wearable Tech Expo and FAST feature experts from adidas, Samsung, U.S. Olympic Committee, Reebok and more

Norwalk, CT – August 5, 2014 – TMC today announced that the Wearable Tech Expo and Fitness & Sports Wearable Technology (FAST) Conference concluded three days of exciting technology demos and educational content this week in New York City at the Javits Convention Center. FAST, held July 22, featured the most up-to-date, in-depth information on how real-time data applications in wearable technology can impact sports and fitness and improve training and coaching methods. The Wearable Tech Expo, held July 23-24, included a broader focus on the wearables market including the latest innovations in mobile, data, fashion, fitness and sports. Together, the events drew over 740 attendees.

“Consumers and businesses are seeing significant technological advancements in wearable tech that can have a real impact on fitness, performance, fashion, communications and quality of life. Not only did the Wearable Tech Expo and FAST event showcase the latest wearable gadgets and tools, but sessions provided insight into expected capabilities and where this market is headed next,” said Rich Tehrani, TMC CEO and conference chairman. “Whether attendees were interested in learning more about entering the marketplace or leading it—these events provided the information and tools needed to do it successfully.”

The agenda at FAST explored health and fitness in consumer markets, utilizing and managing individual and team real-time data, sensor technology, sports and fitness safety and more. Keynote presenters included:
