AT&T Now Offering Martian Notifier Smartwatch

There is very little doubt the wearable tech market is only getting bigger. The popularity of the market is certainly reflected in the sheer number of new gadgets being introduced or rumored every day. One of the newest devices now available in this particular genre is the Martian Notifier Smartwatch. This particular watch is one of the highest end on the market, and is now being offered at AT&T stores all across the nation.

The Martian was made to be a smartwatch worn by people who didn’t want it to be totally obvious they are wearing a smart device. Despite the kind of everyday look to the device, it also displays real-time alerts by any number of different “lifestyle” apps that are offered up in the iOS and Android App stores.

This watch also offers something being touted as an “industry first” in something called the “Smart Notifications.” This suite of features actually combines alert filters, as well as customized vibrations, notification recall and history review. All of this means that for about $129.99 you can know exactly what’s going on with your devices without ever having to look at either your watch or your phone until you are good and ready.

The smart notifications also mean you can filter the kinds of notifications you want sent to the watch. This means you can reserve the run of the mill tweets or emails to only go you your phone, while making sure the most important alerts are getting to your Martian watch and letting you know when something is urgent. Among the features you can view on your watch are Caller ID, a calendar, weather, texts and email. You can also get all your social network alerts should you want them coming to your wrist.

Considering the sheer number of wearable devices working to make your life easier, it’s not hard to think this watch could get lost in the shuffle. The company hopes one feature that will help it stand out in the market is that it can actually work with either iOS or Android devices. This could be a winning selling point.
