Keynote Understands Need for Developers to Have Better Testing of Mobile Apps

With the massive amount of wearable tech hitting the market these days, what is a developer to do in order to make sure their solutions are as good as they had hoped? One industry analysis company, Keynote is promoting its Competitive Rankings Report while announcing it is adding smart watches to its cloud-based mobile testing solution all as a way to help developers and software companies to compare native mobile app performance.

"A Chief Digital Officer is charged with driving customer engagement that translates into subscribership and ultimately revenue. Delivering mobile experiences is paramount in customer acquisition and conversion—and to do this you must understand your consumers' experience in context of competitive alternatives," said Jennifer Tejada, CEO of Keynote said in a recent statement.

Reports showing total mobile subscriptions are expected to grow from 6.8 billion in the first quarter of 2014 to 9.2 billion by the end of 2019. Mobile applications are changing the way any number of companies do business and both of those factors is promising there are going to be some real changes in the way firms do business these days.

Keynote’s Competitive Rankings Benchmark Report, enterprise companies can measure how their mobile applications are going to perform in comparison to their competitors. Among the gadgets developers have access to in order to conduct testing is the Samsung Gear 2 smart watch. Testing wearable apps and how they work with smartphones and other gadgets gives developers a big leg up, before they ever release those applications.

Jonathan Rende, EVP of products and management for Keynote talked about the great need for companies to have a real insight into the “fastest part of their digital channel” in a recent statement. Rende said these companies need to be ready to evolve faster than ever before because of how fast the market itself is changing.  Testing applications is the best way for these companies to change and evolve as quickly as possible.
