Quantum Interface Launches New Interface with Predictive Navigation

When it comes to mobile devices and wearable technology, it can seem like all the possible frontiers of the technology have already been traversed. The fact of the matter that the new frontier, the place where a company can stand out among the crowd is by advancing what the device interfaces can do and just how sensitive they are. Quantum Interface is one company that is moving forward with a new interface that could change navigation on mobile devices.

Based on technology the company has come up and dubbed as proprietary, the interface is greatly responsive to motion. This allows the interface to judge the speed and direction of an input that determines the actual user’s intent. By using this interface, people will be able to make a menu selection with a finger or a touchpad. They can also go through various menus when they are putting their hands in the air or even just moving their eyes if they are using a heads up display or a virtual reality hood.

When these movements are done, the application judges what the user wants and actually moves towards the user and opens up the next level of information. By doing this, the the company has a more immersive experience that brings more information to the user that much better. The company is bringing this particular technology to the market in a  brand new smartwatch launcher to Qi’s Android launcher, known as QiLaunch Wear.

The launcher application will allow users a way to get a fluid approach to navigating and managing content. Access right now is only being offered right now as a by-invitation beta test but it will be going wide in a few months. It’s possible this particular solution could actually change the way wearable technology is used in the near future. Especially considering that wearable technology is getting popular everywhere, particularly in the U.S. and the U.K.
